Participation of CIDSAV members at the VII Conference of Pre-doctoral Researchers of the University of Girona

From the 12^th of June until the 15^th of June the VII Conference of Pre-doctoral Researchers of the University of Girona was celebrated.

The celebration of this conference aims to offer a space of training, knowledge exchange, research dissemination and debate among researchers in training and master’s students from a multidisciplinary point of view. Several sessions were carried out regarding agriculture, food technology, biomedicine, computational chemistry, water treatment, etc.

Within the context of this conference, several members and students of the CIDSAV group did the following oral presentations:

The Dr. Esther Badosa came as an invited speaker and presented “The challenge: enjoying the journey”

The pre-doctoral researchers Aniol Buisac and Luis Moll presented the works titled, “Nicotiana benthamiana as a model plant to study the pathogenicity and control methods of Xylella fastidiosa” and “Peptides as plant defense elicitors on almonds (Prunus dulcis)”, respectively.

The master’s students Núria Giralt, Omayma Belkaid and Yousra El Hmidi presented the works titled “Development of a beneficial microbial consortia with plant biostimulant effect”, “Antimicrobial peptides as potential defense elicitors in the model plant Nicotiana benthamiana” and “Peptides with in vitro antibacterial activity against the plant pathogenic bacterium Xylella fastidiosa”.
