The 2nd conference of the Catalan Society of Plant Pathology (SCPV) was held at the Institut d’Estudis Catalans on July 10.
The conference analysed the current research in Plant Pathology in Catalonia and presented the expertise and research projects of 10 groups from the University (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat de Barcelona, Universitat de Girona, Universitar de Lleida and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), Research Centers (IRTA, CRAG) and Institutions (DACC, ADVs). CIDSAV researchers Anna Bonaterra and Concepció Moragrega presented the areas of expertise and the projects carried out by the Plant Pathology-CIDSAV group of the UdG. The event concluded with the colloquium “University training, qualified personnel and talent in Plant Pathology” to discuss the existing training in Catalan Universities in Plant Pathology and to propose initiatives to encourage interest in training in Plant Pathology among young people.
