Laura Montesinos Barreda​, PhD.

Laura Montesinos is currently a researcher at the CIDSAV center of the University of Girona. He is responsible for the scientific and technical services that CIDSAV offers to companies. His area of ​​research and development focuses on Plant Pathology, especially in the control of quarantine pathogens that affect plants of economic interest, using antimicrobial peptides and plant elicitors. PhD in Technology from the University of Girona, within the line of research: Production of synthetic antimicrobial peptides active against phytopathogenic bacteria, using rice seeds as a biofactory. He did a two-year doctoral stay in the Molecular Genetics department of the CSIC-IRTA Consortium (current group of plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress, Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics, CRAG). Since 2007, she has been linked to the Plant Pathology group at the University of Girona (UdG) and has participated in various research projects obtained in competitive calls, funded by the Spanish State and the European Union. She is the author of more than ten scientific articles in SCI-referenced journals and is a co-inventor, along with team members, of a patent in the field of biopesticides and antimicrobial peptides
