Núria Daranas is currently postdoctoral researcher at CIDSAV group at the University of Girona. She graduated in Technical Agricultural Engineering in Agricultural and Food Industries (2011) and Science and Technology of Food (2013) and she holds a master’s degree in Food Biotechnology (2014) from the University of Girona.
She is a PhD in Technology from the University of Girona (2018). Title of her doctoral thesis is “Biological control of quarantine bacterial plant diseases with Lactobacillus plantarum strains. Improvement of fitness and monitoring”. During her PhD program she participated doing research in the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences of University of Bologna for two months.
Her area of research is based on plant pathology, specifically developing microbial biopesticides for the control of plant quarantine bacteria and fungi of economic importance.
She is participating in research projects with public funding, both European and Spanish, and in technology transfer by agreements with companies.
