Núria Giralt, PhD student from CIDSAV, completes the COST MiCropBiomes Action stay at the University of Freiburg in Switzerland

The first half of September, Núria Giralt, PhD student from the CIDSAV research group, completed the Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) of COST Action MiCropBiomes. The training has been carried out in the Bioinformatics group (BUGFRI), led by Doctor Laurent Falquet, from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

During these days she has been learning how to analyze metagenomic data with 16S rRNA gene sequences from different microbial communities using different RStudio software packages. This training has allowed her to learn how to process raw data, assign its taxonomy and interpret the biological results.
