Emilio Montesinos gave a webinar at IBMA Global on peptides for disease control, with over 100 attendees. I’m proud of such a large and select forum. It’s undoubtedly a topic of great interest as it opens up enormous possibilities for contributing new biopesticides to crop protection, as well as business prospects. A few years ago, IBMA established a platform on this topic, with internal discussions and with the OECD and the Commission. In my seminar, I briefly presented what we currently know scientifically and the advantages, limitations, and challenges of peptide technology for plant disease control.
