A study of the research group in Plant Pathology-CIDSAV of the UdG, funded by the Diputació de Girona (2023/ 4146), demonstrates the effectiveness of biological control in the management and eradication of this invasive exotic species.
The study highlights the potential of an experimental bioherbicide as an alternative to chemical herbicides in ailanthus management.
Trials carried out under the corresponding authorizations (Ref. ESNC168 access to Spanish genetic resources, and ES51-4 (EPI 107/ 2023) from Departament d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural of Generalitat de Catalunya).
