CIDSAV participation in the 14th Meeting of Young Researchers from the Catalan-speaking Regions

Predoctoral researchers Sergi Llanet and Núria Giralt attended the 14^th Meeting of Young Researchers from the Catalan-speaking Regions, organized by the Catalan Chemical Society (SCQ). The event took place from January 28^th to 30^th, 2026, at the Campus of the School of Agrifood and Forestry Engineering and Veterinary Medicine (ETSEA) of the University of Lleida (UdL).

In this meeting researchers had the opportunity to present and discuss research results, promoting the use of the Catalan language in science. The presentations were mainly delivered by doctoral students and were organized into different sections covering theory and modeling, synthetic methodology and catalysis, materials, biomolecules, science communication, analytical methodology, and the environment.

Sergi Llanet presented the work carried out within the research group Laboratory for Innovation in Processes and Products of Organic Synthesis (LIPPSO), in collaboration with the research group in Theoretical Chemistry of Biosystems (TCBioSys), entitled “Effects of the antimicrobial peptides BP100, 1036, and FV7 on membranes through molecular dynamics simulations.” Núria Giralt presented the work entitled “Antisense peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) designed for the control of diseases caused by Xylella fastidiosa,” carried out at CIDSAV in collaboration with LIPPSO research group, and was awarded for the best presentation at the biomolecule’s symposium.
