BeXyl project participants visited nurseries and the Mas Badia experimental station during the 3rd General Meeting

On the second day of the 3rd General Meeting of the BeXyl project, held in Girona from 1 to 3 October 2025, participants visited four nurseries in the province of Girona as well as the Mas Badia-IRTA experimental station.

Nursery visits focused on the importance of developing effective methods and treatments to ensure the production of plant material free from Xylella fastidiosa, a critical step in protecting the European agricultural sector against this harmful pathogen. In addition, IRTA researchers and technical staff showed their ongoing research focused on promoting sustainable fruit production.

The field visits provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange among scientists, stakeholders, and nursery professionals, reinforcing the BeXyl project’s commitment to improve plant health and ensuring a resilient agricultural system in Europe.
