PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF OIDIUM IN VINEYARDS AND OTHER PATHOGENIC AGENTS USING ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION [UV-VINYA] (ACE100/23/000039)
The [UV-VINYA] project involves industrial research and experimental development in with participation from the Raventós-Codorniu company and the TECNIO center CIDSAV-UdG.

The main objective of the project is to develop an effective system, at a productive scale, that utilizes ultraviolet radiation technology (UV) to control pest and diseases in grape production for winemaking.
The execution of the project will include:
- The development of construction and operational criteria for the device that will be used to apply treatments for controlling vineyard pests and diseases with UV radiation.
- The prototype developed will be utilized in commercial vineyards, aimed to reduce significantly the use of chemical products.
- The project aims to mitigate personal and environmental risks and minimize their impact on climate change by reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions
The [UV-VINYA] project is funded by the Nuclis 2023 call (Projectes R+D Green), Climate change and the Departament d’ Empresa i Treball (ACCIÓ). The project is set to last 34 months, from January 1, 2024, to October 10, 2026.
