Núria Daranas, postdoctoral researcher at CIDSAV group, completes the COST action MiCropBiomes stay at the University Claude Bernard Lyon in France.

During April, Núria Daranas, a postdoctoral researcher at CIDSAV group, completed the Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) of the cost action MiCropBiomes at the University Claude Bernard Lyon in France. The training has been carried out for two weeks in the Rhizosphere team of the Microbial Ecology laboratory led by Claire Prigent-Combaret at the University Claude Bernard Lyon (France).

During those days her activities were oriented towards a short training to learn how to construct green fluorescent protein (gfp)- or red fluorescent protein (mcherry)-labelled strains of Pseudomonas and Azospirillum by transformation procedures, such as conjugation and electroporation. Both bacterial genera have been described as plant growth promoters (PGPs) or microbial biological control agents (mBCA).
