PhD Theses

Training of Ph.D. students is done in line with the doctoral programme in Law, Business and Enterprise of the University of Girona and the doctoral programme in Economics and Law of the International University of Catalonia that allows the students to work in competitive research groups, under the supervision of experimented researchers from GREC group and QISE group. The Ph.D. training improves the research skills of the Ph.D. students through high-level scientific research in quality management, innovation management, knowledge creation, and knowledge transfer, funded by national and international research grants (including short-term scientific visits to other research groups in Europe and beyond), which is published in scientific journals and presented at (inter)national conferences. This training prepares Ph.D. students optimally for successful research careers in academia and industry.

Tittle: Quality assessment of collaborative consumption services in the accommodation and mobility sectors

Author: Natalia Amat Lefort

Supervisors: Frederic Marimon and Marta Mas

Defense date: ...

Abstract:

The PhD thesis studies the assessment of quality and consumer experience in collaborative consumption (CC) services, in particular for the accommodation and mobility sectors, which are the most popular in this type of service. First, authors have been working on the development of a conceptual model to get a better understanding of service quality in CC services. Afterward, they worked on defining and validating two scales to assess perceived quality in collaborative accommodation and transport services, respectively. The next step in the research will be to analyze user-generated content (extracted from comments, ratings, and reviews published by users of online platforms of CC services such as Airbnb) to identify the key drivers of quality in this type of services.
