Plant Production area of \u200b\u200bthe Department of Chemical, Agricultural and Agri-Food Technology at the University of Girona (UdG). His area of \u200b\u200bresearch is Plant Pathology, especially in minimizing the use of pesticides and integrated management of fungal and bacterial diseases. He defended his doctoral thesis in 2000 and his training as an Agricultural Engineer at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, was complemented in several stays in research centers such as CRIOF of the University of Bologna, the Department of Plant Production of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), the University of Lleida and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). He is a researcher at the Plant Pathology group of the Institute of Agri-Food Technology of the UdG, a member of the consolidated research group (2017 SGR 00784) recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. His current research focuses on obtaining, characterizing and improving microorganisms for use as biopesticides in the control of fungal and bacterial diseases of plants and in postharvest of fruit. Specifically, on obtaining peptides from selected bacterial strains. He is co-author of several scientific articles in journals referred to in the SCI, and several dissemination articles and book chapters.
